Hi guys. My wife turns 50 next April and I have been writing a song for her which I thought would be quite unique and something for her to treasure. I am not musically gifted so need some help with the music. I have written 2 songs and would value your opinions as I do not know which one to choose. I have over a year but would love it if somebody eventually recorded it for her but that would be a dream come true. Here is my first song called "A woman for all seasons' by Bob Scullen 2012.
Chorus.
You are my woman for every season and my reason to exist,
May our love last a lifetime?
Heaven on Earth, eternal bliss!
You are my woman
Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall
A woman for every season, sunshine, rain, hail and all
Spring
The earth wakes from its slumber
Breathing new life and energy
Your beauty is magnificent like the blossom on the tree
The daffodils are delightful, butterflies, birds and bees
The garden is our Eden, peace and tranquility
With love our eternal battery
Our hearts will stay young and free
Summer
Summer is the time for growth
For all the plants and trees you know
My love is there to keep as the roots of love grow deep
The smell of your perfume like nectar to the bee
Clear skies and sunshine, no clouds for you and me
Making sand castles on the beaches and paddling in the sea
Life with you is just beginning and the future ours to see
Autumn
Standing round a bonfire on a cold and windy night
Making costumes for the children, trick or treating by moonlight
It's the season of thanksgiving as the leaves begin to fall and I thank god and ask his blessing on you and us all
As my lover, friend and soul mate
You make my heart begin to pound
When the twinkle in your eye, just like the stars above
Still generates the electricity that made us fall in love
Winter
As the days get shorter and the year draws to a close
My head is filled with memories that will warm us from the cold
Putting up the decorations and presents under the tree
Christmas dinner with the family and some time for you and me
Hearing the childrens laughter and a glass of Christmas cheer
Another year has ended and I look forward to next year
Please don't laugh as it still needs tweaking a bit. The hardest bit is going to be get the right music to go with my lyrics and if good enough get somebody to sing it for my wifes birthday. I would be grateful for your feedback on this song and then I will let you see my next one.
Thank you for reading.
