Wpw - I feel I have been educated. We are so lucky to have such talent in this forum. I wish I could speak another language. I am finding it hard to understand Australian - LOL

The Voice is also one of my favourites, along with Aigakikoeru: Listen for the Love, and Trip Trip. Wonderful singer / songwriter with a beautiful voice. I personally class many of her works as CC or very close (I hate the classification J-Pop. Really doesn't describe the sounds.). Don't try translating Cyouwa Oto though as I understand it's sung in Japanese backwards. I absolutely adore the song "Futari no Musume (The Story of Two Daughters)" from Aigakikoeru: Listen for the Love! One of my all-time favorite songs!! I love Chowa Oto. Truly epic song. I prefer the soundtrack version to the original released on Trip Trip. the first part is normal Japanese and then for the rest she's reversed the syllables. I love how she jumps in with her operatic singing towards the end and finishes with eastern vocals (I'm not sure how to classify it). It's impossible to put artists like KOKIA in one genre! She's almost invented her own genre. I love artist like that. I agree that she's almost an classical-crossover artist. She DID originally train to be an opera singer. I can't help but wonder what might happen if Sarah Brightman and KOKIA were to get together... I'm pretty sure it would be amazing. Jenny♥

I have an album by Ayumi Hamasaki; but I don't like it much. It was all a bit dancey and electronic - but I haven't pulled that album out in years... no wait... I think I sold it. :/ Ah well.
I think I will have to look into KOKIA - just brilliant we have some Eastern listeners on here to share music! <3

I don't blame you if you did sell it. I only like her "Acoustic Orchestra Remix" albums, specifically ayu-mi-x 4 and ayu-mi-x 7. Here's one of my favorites: "Song for XX (Acoustic Orchestra Version)"
