Thanks Graham,
As I have finished work for Christmas I have booked up for this, I'm going to make a few days of it after seeing Mary-Jess in Chessington on the 21st.
Cheltenham Central Premier Inn is only £29 if anyone else is thinking of staying over, it is only 10 minutes to Gloucester on the train with plenty of trains back afterwards for £4.50 return.
Still hoping there might be one a bit further north too!

The new Mary-Jess website does not at present have this concert in the 'Show List'.......... Sure it is a mistake that will soon be corrected. Graham C

Lovely review - I would take issue with only one paragraph. For sure, Mary-Jess is wonderful in the classical numbers, but so are countless other sopranos. For me, her real strength lies in her innovation, her variety of repertoire and the emotion she brings to every performance. I have now seen Mary-Jess perform more times than any other singer, and she still retains the capacity both to surprise me and to reduce me to a quivering wreck of emotion

Thanks Len, fantastic photos Great to meet you and Andy again. Out of four concerts in this tour, this was the only one where I managed to get a front row seat. It was also the only one where I didn't hear anything new from Mary-Jess, but that didn't matter. It was wonderful to be able just to sit there and take it all in, relieved of any burden of responsibility. Lovely to see Mary-Jess getting such support in her home town. Another first I believe was the demand for, and delivery of, an encore. I was quite pleased with my photos until I saw Len's but I will share some with you anyway. First half:-
