Does anyone know what time things are likely to happen? I see kick-off is at 5.15. Presumably the national anthem is just before that? Is 'Abide With Me' before the game or at half time? Will it even be shown on TV? Please help a football ignoramus here

John, The teams will enter the pitch around 10-15 mins before kick off, Abide with Me is sung, followed by the National Anthem, then the game kicks off. Best watching from 20 mins before kick off just to make sure. I like football but have no interest in the game so I will be turning off once Mary-Jess and Laura have performed. I am going to try and record it too Dazza

My TV's on and ready, hope it all goes well! Footie-wise, I think I'm supporting Liverpool, because I hate them less than I hate Chelsea...

I don't hate either of them , but my TV will be going off after the national anthem.

Well done Mary-Jess, lovely performance, and well done Dazza for the recording, so we can watch it repeatedly at our leisure! Mary-Jess, you looked gorgeous (not so sure about you though, Dazza! lol)

I have always loved 'Abide With Me' but only one other performance of it has ever come close to bringing the emotion I felt today. That was when Hayley Westenra sang it to me at Croydon two years ago. Yes - to me; I know there were a few hundred others in the Fairfield Halls but they might as well have not been there. It was just Hayley and me for those few minutes. Hayley was barely five metres away from me, but Mary-Jess achieved the same effect today without even being in the same place. There may have been one or two others there (of which the camera annoyingly kept reminding me) but oh yes, Mary-Jess was singing to me.
