I saw this from Mary Jess yesterday I think it's going to be quite popular event. Like you said Bob a worthy cause. I wouldn't be surprised if Mary Jess isn't at the British Legion Festival of remembrance this year.

I hope that as many people can make this concert as possible, it is sure to be a fantastic evening. I'm afraid I will have to give this one a miss though, I won't be able to get that day off work. I have looked at every possible way of getting there apart from pulling a sickie which I wont do, however tempting! Dazza

Sadly, I won't be able to make it either Windsor isn't too far for me, but I have another commitment that evening.

A fabulous evening of music at Windsor with the beautiful Mary-Jess and her new backing group (the band of the "Blues and Royals")! Mary-Jess looked stunning as always, initially in a yellow dress and later for the second half of the evening in a gorgeous creation crafted by mum, Liz. Is there no end to the Leaverlands talents? A few images attached. Thank you Mary-Jess for the music and for the time you gave us after the concert, it is so appreciated.

Hi guys! :-) great shots, Len.
Here's Mary-Jess statement on this concert: "It was amazing thank you! The Band of The Blues and Royals are incredible! I'll have to bring them to Gloucester some time so you can see them!":-)

Twas indeed a good concert. The Blues and Royals band played a goodly selection of music, including military music (naturally!) excerpts from les Mis, violin solo of Ashokan Farewell, and a tribute to Louis Armstrong, with a good drum solo of Sing, Sing, Sing, the drummer was sure hot at the end of it in all that heat, in full ceremonial uniform! Mary-Jess' contributions were the Downton Abbey theme in the first half, and Time to Say Goodbye, the best live performance of this piece I've seen and heard. The finale was typical, the audience encouraged (forced? into joining Mary-Jess in Rule Brittania and Land of hope and Glory ( repeated, as we didn't sing loud enough for the Director of Music!), closing with three marches. Really enjoyed my evening, well worth the two hour plus drive each way in those temperatures! Roll on the next one! Danny

Hi, What a fantastic evening. I was looking forward to getting inside the church as I thought it'd be cooler than the high temperature outside only to find that it was the same, if not warmer! Goodness only knows what it must've been like for the men and women of The Band Of Blues And Royals. The band were great, treating us to some fine music with some comedy routines during On The Track and the Dixie Tribute. Then there was the quite phenominal drum solo during Sing Sing Sing. There was even a joke or two! But, of course, the highlight was Mary-Jess. She came on in the first half wearing stunning full length yellow dress to sing Did I Make The Most Of Loving You. In the second half, she wore a beautiful poppy dress made by Liz to sing Time To Say Goodbye and later, accompanied by the audience, Rule Britannia and Land Of Hope And Glory. At the end of the concert, she kindly took time out to sign copies of Shine and various photos, etc. I was extremely lucky enough to accompany her back into the church afterwards with Len and Graham where she had some publicity shots taken before we were allowed to take some photos. We then thanked her for all the time she afforded us as she is extremely busy at the moment and said our goodbyes. Speaking of photos, here's a selection taken during and after the concert. Apologies for the selection taken during the concert as, out of respect for the artist, I refuse to use flash. Nonetheless, I hope you like them. Regards, Jim
