Hey what a lovely idea!
E-cards are nice but a real card, if the logistics are possible, has more substance (obviously) and I think she'd love it.

It looks like a real card is a big favourite here so I think we will go with that.

I hope you do Nicola, despite the forums I'm signed up to ive never done this before either.
There might be a change of plan if everybody is happy with it. I have been asked if I will bring the card to Northleach with me so at least some of us have the opportunity to personally sign the card, I think it is a good idea.
As we will have it there with us we could then give Mary-Jess the card in person, it is a better option than sending it though the post, and we know she will definitely get it.
In which case I will need your messages sent to either myself or Bob by Wednesday 14th March.

The card arrived this weekend and I think it looks fantastic. I added my own message this afternoon.
I have had a few messages sent to me so far, I think Mary-Jess will love this.
Remember to PM your message to either myself or Bob before Wednesday 14th March. I have now edited the first post of the thread with this information too.

Dazza, I've just had a trivial idea (it's the best kind!)
When you transfer the messages to the card, would it be a good idea to add the country where each member lives, perhaps in brackets, after the signature?
Just a thought!

It is an interesting suggestion Ken, I will happily add the countries that people are from, if they wish.
We need more of our international members to send their messages in, let's show Mary-Jess how much she is appreciated around the world.

Woo, It took me a while to figure what to say.
I have to say, i love the idea of sending a real cards. I'm not a fan of E-cards, though that one for Camilla looked very nice.
Could you take a picture/scan of the card so we can see it when it's done?

The card won't be finished until just before the concert in Northleach but I will definitely try to take a photo to share on here on Mary-Jess' birthday.
